  • Author: Jennifer

Description

Salmon so good it will make you say “Marry Me” to whomever makes it for you! The filets are spiced and seared to perfection and paired with a creamy garlic lemon and herb sauce that is just to die for. Dinner in under 30 minutes has never tasted so good!

Ingredients

Scale

Fresh Ingredients

  • 22.5 pounds of wild-caught salmon fillets (skin on or off, depending on preference)
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil (extra virgin recommended for enhanced flavor)
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced (adjust according to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt (sea salt or kosher salt for better taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (for a touch of sweetness)

Herbal Infusion

  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano (or 1 tablespoon of fresh oregano, finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme (switch to fresh thyme for a vibrant flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh dill (can substitute with tarragon or cilantro)

Additional Flavorings

  • 1/2 cup of cherry tomatoes, halved (optional for a burst of color and flavor)
  • 1/4 cup of kalamata olives, pitted and chopped (adds a Mediterranean flair)
  • 2 tablespoons of capers, rinsed and drained (for a briny taste)
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds (for layering on top of the salmon)

Cooking Essentials

  • 1 large baking sheet, lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil
  • Parchment paper (optional, for steaming technique)
  • Cooking spray or additional olive oil for greasing the baking sheet

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This temperature will ensure the salmon cooks evenly and develops a nice texture.

Prepare the Baking Dish

Lightly grease a baking dish with a little olive oil. This step prevents the salmon from sticking and adds flavor.

Season the Salmon

Season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. This enhances the overall taste of the dish, making it more enjoyable.

Mix the Topping

In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, cherry tomatoes, red pepper flakes, and dried oregano. Stir well to mix the flavors together.

Add the Tomato Mixture

Spread the tomato mixture evenly over the seasoned salmon fillets in the baking dish. Make sure each fillet is well covered to absorb the flavors.

Drizzle with Olive Oil and Lemon

Drizzle the remaining olive oil and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top of the salmon and tomatoes. This step adds brightness to the dish.

Bake the Salmon

Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes. The salmon should be cooked through and flake easily with a fork.

Garnish and Serve

Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil before serving. This final touch adds an aromatic finish.

Enjoy your Marry Me Salmon with rice or a side salad for a complete meal. Your taste buds and your loved ones will thank you!

Notes

Quality Ingredients Matter

Using high-quality ingredients can take your dish to the next level. Look for fresh, wild-caught salmon rather than farmed.
